In search of truth
by Okasha naqvi, 14, New Jersey

Where is the home
of a once loved but forgotten
human
who roams the world
in search of truth

he is strong
but cries
as he awakens from his dreams
a taste of death
this unfound truth
is lost
so return back to your desk
your paper and ink are where you left them
and write
0 brave one
of the fears you have hidden
in the veines entangling your heart

you were born into such state
but smile
as you cry
the world spins
you are pulled left
wish to go right
you awaken once more
to the call of azaan
and you cry,
and you rome
and you know
but forget

let the wind beneath your wings
guide you
as you see them dance and play
but you have seen the effect
the hereafter
the punishment
in your dreams
so return to the ink and paper
they are drownig in knowledge
but are distraught from the truth
so roam
and find
why these people
are not scared
of what is left for them
how they shall too cry when facing God
what shall they say ?
they know only lies
cry o brave one
cry
don't let this go

have they forgotten of who has fallen before them
do they think themselves indestructible
has their pride ever succeeded?
no,
o confused one
you are the most intellegent
o brave one
you are the most fearful
of mighty one
you are the weakest
o human
you are the prey of fire
so roam,
even if it takes you all your life,
'tis better than what you shall endure after
if you do not remember the past
and never forget the future.
